OT: Looking for Superintendent/ Labor March 22, 2018 03:04AM
This post is a bit off topic from the normal rant of the LLSS or other pulling complaints as of late. However, as a puller myself and the operations manager for a large specialty contractor company based in the Pittsburgh, PA region I am seeking a new avenue to find some good workers. Past experiences have shown that the best workers are often from the rural communities. They are respectable, can actually pass a drug test and are willing to work an honest day.

Our operation is national and I am in search of some good hardworking people that can fit into the job description below. My basic requirements are simple, show up for work on time, have a good attitude and be willing to work, and must be able to pass a drug test. While on the road we typically work 5-6 days a week with 8 to 10 hour shifts. Off on Sundays typically.

The job requires supervising labor forces, drilling anchor bolts in concrete, and many other task. We also perform survey and welding services to heavy industry customers. Travel is about 80%. I guarantee my guys at least 1 week home after every 2-3 weeks on the road if desired. Willing to train if you are willing to put in the effort.

We offer both FULL Time Salary positions as well as Hourly part time positions. Typically hourly rates start at $20/hour and can go up to $40 for skilled superintendents. Per diem, hotels, and fuel/mileage all provided. Full time includes, 401k, benefits, and truck allowances.

I know this is off topic but hopefully someone on this forum is looking for a new opportunity or knows of someone who may be interested. You can be in any area of the USA as long as you are willing to travel for projects. Also, before you attack me for the OT post, please note this has already been discussed and permission granted from the moderators.

If you are interested please email kim.menardi@gantrex.com or contact Michael @ 412-655-one four zero 0, ext 105. Thank you,

This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. It takes a great deal of time and a fair amount of money to keep this website going. Donations for: photos, classified ads, forum discussion, etc... are appreciated.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.
