SOS Ford gearbox? June 11, 2018 05:44AM
Has anybody put a gearbox (profab, scs, etc) into the casing of a Ford 5000 select-o-speed? Wondering if it can be done and who can do it; have my eyes on a stellar deal on one, and if it’s possible I’d use that in my puller and put my stock 8-speed in the farm tractor. Any tips, contact info, etc is appreciated.

The Profab 5 speed will fit in the housing like an iH. Need a drop box made behind it. A 3 speed will work in front of a 8 speed housing. Use a wedge frame with the SOS and 5 speed. Need it to handle the torque. I have a 5 speed Profab and a housing if interested.

We run an atlas in our set up. Dies great. Contact them and they will do the full install and all. Just send a empty case to them.
