I am looking for as much information as possible for the "IH turbo kit" with the TD9 crawler manifold. I am looking to find one for my 560 just want more info. I know the manifold part number is 306656R1 and the kit number is 407055R91. But both part numbers go nowhere in IH parts books. I work at a salvage yard and have found nothing here. Thanks
What kind of info are you looking for? I pieced together one of these turbo setups years ago for a 560 I used to have. Was a fun project tractor while I had it.
I guess I just want to know where to find parts for one and just general info like, where do the oil lines go and basic stuff like that. I know the turbo was an air research T606, what else had that turbo? If anyone has pictures that would be awesome or if you have more information text me at 715-308-9483.
Parts for one are few & far between. There's a few shops that can rebuild the turbo, provided the shaft, wheels, and housings are okay. Oil supply was obtained by removing an oil galley plug near the oil filter & routing a line to the turbo, oil was returned by either tapping the front cover above the injection pump for a hose barb & returning it there, or removing the pump timing cover plate, welding a fitting to that, and returning the oil there.
throw a small t04 on it,ya oughta be able to do the plumbing with a mig welder and a wiz wheel and 4 inch grinder.pick up oil pressure from anywhere and drain anywhere,very simple to do this.id think 50 bucks over the price of a turbo should cover it
I want it to be mostly original. If I wanted to do it just to have a turbo it would have been fabricated up by now, but I want the actual turbo manifold.
i have a good turbo manifold and turbo for a 282 diesel engine. came out of a crawler, it is an official IH manifold not a M&W manifold. call my dad 815-790-5234
