Building a case 504 large journal for a 3000rpm class, is it worth stroking it to 540? If so what do we do for bearings? |

Yes it's worth it, changes the rod angle ratio for the better. You have the crank welded & run same bearings as you would with stock crank. Is 540 the limit for your class? |

Thanks. 540 is the limit. Is getting the crank welded the only option or can I go the oversized bearing route? |

I don't know of an oversized bearing method, you must be referring to the method where you take a large journal crank & offset grind it by.250 & then use the small journal rods on it. That gives you a 529ci. Small journal rods are.5" longer though which ain't good imo. The welded crank will cost more but will give you a better setup. |
