Is there a formula to figure out gear ratio. i have a 666 rear end with 16/49 ring and pinion. Constant mesh gear 41 top 28 lower. 2nd gear 48 top, 33 bottom. 3rd gear 44 top and 37 bottom. Any help would be great!
Thank you |

The ratio of any gear set is driven divided by driver. For a series of gear sets like this you multiply the ratios of the sets together.
To compute your final ratio you will also need the tooth counts on your bull gear and bull pinion. 2nd gear 28 / 41 X 48 / 33 X 49 / 16 X #Bull teeth / #Bull pinion teeth 3rd gear 28 / 41 X 44 / 37 X 49 / 16 X #Bull teeth / #Bull pinion teeth |

2nd gear = 16.59
3rd Gear = 13.62 bull gear ratio is 5.5:1, all other math is in Deere Puller's response. |
