CHARLESTOWN, Indiana (June 7th, 2019) - The Rumble by the Refuge, a cornerstone event for the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour and the Champion Seed Western Series, scheduled for June 21st and 22nd, has been canceled due to historic flooding in Northwest Missouri.
Event promoter Chris Waegle shared, "It is with great we regret we have decided to cancel this year's Rumble by the Refuge pull. We are currently dealing with another historic wave of flooding here in Mound City (on top of the flooding in months prior); the flooding has displaced families from their homes, closed Interstate 29 (the main access road to Mound City), among other issues. Our hearts and our prayers continue to be with those who are dealing with significant challenges in our region and I hope you join me in that sentiment. We look forward to being back in action here at the Old Rodeo Grounds in Mound City in 2020, and hope you join us then. Thank you." Bryan Lively -
