Mounting a Generator to the front of a van trailer July 10, 2019 02:11AM
I am wanting to mount a generator to a 2004 Wabash moving trailer, the generator itself weighs right around 200 pounds. I was thinking of building a cage around it to sit it in an tie that in to the trailer. my question is, if I run bolts through the up right ribbing on the trailer, will the trailer be strong enough to hold it on the front? how do others mount their generators? thanks in advance

we used leaf spring u-bolts over frame peened over threads so nuts would not come un threaded, no drilling. hope this helps
