Pulling sled classes

Can someone fill me on pulling sled classes. Class 7, 8.etc. |

Don't quote me, but I believe a level 5 sled would be a mini rod sled, a level 7 sled can hook all classes except super semi's and unlimited, and a level 8 sled can hook all classes in pulling. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |

Level 5 can be a big sled but would be an old uphill, non updated one. Most big sleds are 6 and up. 6 doesn't have a pushdown, 7 does. 8 has heavier box drive components than a 7 does such as tooth clutch, 140 chain, etc. |

You can have a 7 without pushdown. Right now the difference between a 6 & a 7 is whether or not the box rollers are on top of the rails or in between the top & bottom flanges of the rails. If the box is on top of the rails, it cannot be classed higher than a 6. |
