Oliver 1850 PTO delete
|
I am wanting to remove the PTO from an 1850 for the purpose of putting a pulling hitch on it. The intent is to cover the opening with a flat plate to then attach part of the hitch to. What needs to be done internally for removing the pto? We do not need hydraulics other than wish to keep the power steering. Any and all help or guidance appreciated! |

Remove the long shaft, pto, and all the hydraulics. Then use a 12v hydraulic pump off a snow plow plumbed to the factory steering motor in the dash. It will steer as good as factory. |

Is it possible to do this without disabling the hydraulics? |

Oliver had a PTO delete on some of their Wheatland models. It was a shorter shaft that stopped at the pump. No idea what held it in.
