Head gasket making

Plasma

Has anyone used plasma table to cut copper gaskets? If so what speed and amps say for .065 thick. Would it be close to aluminum settings. Thanks |

To me a plasma cutter would put so much heat around the cut edges . Copper is a great heat conductor.
I would definately want material left on for finish machining. |

Cuts very similar to aluminum parameters but nicer. If you are an experienced burn table operator give it a go. You will be pleasantly surprised. |

when finished take your torch heat the gasket until it turns a little red to make it soft |
