What happened Saturday night in Lexington al? Heard there was a disturbance at trackside and heard a tractor hit the guard rail??

There was no tractor that hit the guard rail. Cody Haney had a rough ride, but that's about it.

Cody totaled his tractor (bent frame) because Lexington refused to resurface the track it was like concrete. Until the 2wd class refused to pull on it.

Is that why it wasn’t over until 4am? Or was it just the amount of pullers?

There was 103 official entries on Friday and 100 on Saturday. Add in an hour-plus rain delay on Friday night and an hour-plus delay to work the track on Saturday night.

never blame a track for someones breakage. cody could have moved every weight forward and dropped the drawbar and shifted to his highest gear and added air to his tires and fattened up the fuel and just feathered the throttle all the way down the track and made a nice safe pass. he could have loaded back up and just gone home. he had tons of options but he missed his setup given the track conditions simple as that! crappy tracks really suck but every team has options. cody bent his chassis because he missed his setup. it sucks and i feel for him but it happens.

Lol of course you can blame a track. Not knocking Lexington, but yeah looks like the track got pretty pitiful.

Was Cody the only LSS to make a pass?
If not, did others total their tractors in the LSS class?
I would make an assumption that if the track was at fault everyone should have totaled their tractors.

lss fan exactly!!! When you have people that literally refuse to pull on a track its BAD.. All because Lexington was to lazy to re cut the track before Saturdays pull.. Friday it got rained on then they recut it than all day it sat in 100 degree sun any body that ever been to pull knew what was coming once the moister came back up to the surface.. lazy as simple as that.

Uh i do believe it was worked on Saturday during the day they was out there discing it several times. Yes it agree it should have been redone before the light supers but hind sight is always 20/20

Re: Lexington August 17, 2020 10:22PM
Mcnern you obviously weren't there. You seriously think they didn't rework the track between Friday and Saturday? It's red clay if you don't have it perfect it gets hard and slick. Just a lesson learned for everybody
