New Generation October 30, 2020 02:01AM
Just wondering if anyone has ever built a pulling engine out of a new generation 466 or 530 or 570? Are the blocks and cranks not stouter and heavier built than the 400 series? The 1993 and 1994 were mechanical engines with a p-pump. Any information will be helpful. Thanks.T

Several allis tractors with the series 40 Detroit have essentially the same 466/530 blocks and they work pretty good. Takes quite a bit of time and welding to the valve cover/intake to get them where they need to be. Main journals are larger in those blocks as well.
