WTPA Pro Farm February 28, 2021 04:43PM
I see that WTPA posted a 2021 tentative schedule, and it looks like they added a pro farm class. Can anyone tell me any info about this class? What are the rules? Thanks in advance!

You'd think with wtpa belonging to ntpa that theyd use ntpa's hot farm rules. There are too many different 9500 hot farm rules out there, we all need to start running the national rules that way we can all pull together to make 9500 hot farm a uniform and united class. The rules aren't much different but they are just enough different to keep other tractors out of the class.

NTPA/UPM Profarm has been around for a long time. The rules mirrors Badger State hot farm, Tri state hot farm. There is absolutely no reason to change the rules to ntpa hot farm when that class is not supported in our tri state area. We on a regular basis in UPM have 10-12 tractors run the class. Badger state sees more members then that. There are more then enough 466 tractors in the tri state area to support the class growing into Wisconsin.

WTPA didn't add the Pro Farm class, rather promoters are having an exhibition class to support some of the local 466 tractors. Lancaster, River Falls, and Viroqua are the three events having the class and it will be open to all competitors. Tractors wanting to compete in this class will need to have a NTPA certified cage and pass tech inspections prior to competition. The rules will be based on that of the UPM Pro Farm class and not the NTPA Regional Hot Farm class.
