1206 hot farm
|
Haven’t seen any or many 1206 hot farms. How do they compare to a 1066 in terms of weight and rear end strength? Have been looking for a 1066 to build but stumbled on a 1206 for a decent deal. It already has a 414 in it, so not so worried on the problems of fitting a 400 series in a 06 frame, since it’s already done. Would be looking to get it down to around 8500#. Anyone have any advice on to go for it or just stick with the tried tested 1066? |

We run a 1206 in our too hot to farm class, has a 400 series also have to run a stock front end and still has the stock steering bolster in the front. we put a roll cage on took off the top cover took out the PTO put on pressed steel wheels and it weighs about 8400lbs without a driver. So it can be done but depends what your rules allow. A 66 series is much heavier. Hope this helps |
