Carl Buckner Passes August 30, 2021 05:01AM
This morning, Carl Buckner, pulling promoter in the state of Missouri and the Superintendent of pulling contests at the Missouri State Fair, passed away after an extended illness. COVID forced his celebration of being at the state fair for fifty years to the 2021 fair, and he was thankfully able to be there a few short weeks ago to see friends and pullers one more time.

With an extensive legacy in the sport there are volumes that could be rendered about his imprint from the Seventies forward, I'll keep it short - we have lost one of those men who were there at the genesis of the sport to what it is today and that kind of knowledge and insight are irreplaceable. Thank you Carl for all you did.

Carl was very VERY nice, helpful and eager to solve any issue or problem that faced Him,prayers sent. We will miss Him.
