What gear ratio do 9500 hot farms use? 22:1? 19:1?
All help is appreciated! |

You are right in the ballpark. All depends on your weight class and track conditions. |

Seems like they’d be in 19:1 easily, running 18:1 most the time and maybe 17:1 on a loose track. I know budget people running 20:1 and 19:1 with a 1/5 of the money spent in the motor vs someone who went all out only to gain another tooth. Hmmm Edited 1 time(s). Just remeber another gear faster can be another 10’ further. So that extra money spent in the motor is well worth it in that case. |

It can also be 20’ farther back. Ground speed is dependent on rpm. You can go just as fast down the track in 22-1 as you can in 19-1. |

I run a 4 speed, 19 is high and 22 is low, I use them all last summer |

I agree Jonesy let them try their big gears in some of the sticky south and eastern ohio tracks and watch them get embarrassed! I've seen it happen many times. |
