Nope.
Not hard to change them. Axle shafts and better joints available at different places. |

Not familiar with FDS 90
I'm used to the FDS 75 and FDS 78 The 78 has larger axle shafts. Now I gotta go research the 90. |

FDS90 was rated for 9,000 lbs I believe it was fine spline (34 spline)
FDS75 was rated for 7,500 lbs and was coarse spline (19 spline) Probably the other main differences between the two lie in the brakes that they put on them. Kind of like 17-145 vs 19-145 vs 20-145. They had the same center section, just different brakes. I built my front end with an F106 center and 2.5 ton Rockwell outers/knuckles/etc. The 2.5 ton stuff is significantly cheaper than the FDS stuff and more readily available. |

Is the fds90 still the 6 bolt lug pattern?
I have built some fronts the same way you did. TRB makes nice axle/u-joint assemblies for the military 2 1/2 ton steering knuckles. |
