Allis Chalmers 210

Is a Allis 210 Rearend workable for a start to a pulling tractor? I know that a D21 would be a lighter rearend and probably more availability of parts, but they seem harder and harder to find without having to drop a bucket load of money on one. Just curious what the thought was on this. |

Absolutely it can be done. Will have the faster ring and pinion in it also. Not sure what class you plan on running but for most classes weight won’t be an issue. |

You can make that. You can always foam the rearend. Put a tube chassis on it. Dry block the motor to get rid of radiator and fluid. All depends how far you want to take it. You can get em pretty light if you want to. |

When you install a 210/220 ring and pinion gear set in a D-21, you get a 10% speed-up on a D-21 rear end. If you install a D-21 ring and pinion into a 210/220 rear end, you get a 10% slow-down. A 210/220 rear end has the same axle ratio as a std D-21 rear end chassis. |
