Pro Pulling League Releases Third Round of Pre-Commits for 2022 Champions Tour Season

Charlestown, IN (April 22nd, 2022) – Today brings us another round of pre-commits for the 2022 Champions Tour of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League. Three great classes are highlighted today; two other classes, Super Farm and Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks, will be revised and updated after May 2nd with the extended deadline for those classes’ based on the enthusiasm to participate at the Inaugural World Series of Pulling presented by Ohio CAT on July 21st-23rd.

Twenty-seven pullers have stepped up to the plate to pre-commit in the Pro Stock Tractor class for the 2022 season. Brandon Simon and his Loud and Heavy John Deere from Farley, Iowa are set to defend their 2021 championship; their season kicks off at the Southern Illinois Showdown at The Track at Holzhauers in Nashville, Illinois on June 3rd and 4th. Pro Stocks have 18 hooks across six states in Champions Tour competition.

ARP Lightweight Super Stocks have 18 hooks set for 2022 as well; that schedule will take the class across seven states. Terry Blackbourn’s CaseIH, Armed and Dangerous – Excessive Force, was at the top of a 1-2-3 sweep of the class by Team Chizek in 2021. Seventeen other pullers have answered the call as pre-commits to dethrone that red tractor juggernaut; it should be a battle for the ages! LWSS begins it’s season at The Track at Holzhauers in Nashville, Illinois on June 3rd and 4th.

Pro Modified Four Wheel Drive Trucks bring their mountain motor power to thirteen hooks in 2022. Jim Bosch and the Midnight Raider Chevy are returning champions in a super-competitive class with 21 highly capable entries. The Pro Mod season kicks off at the GALOT Mule City 300 in Benson, North Carolina on June 3rd and 4th.

Assuming Agony of Defeat is the old Green With Envy Tractor, but someone can confirm. Also looks like Green With Envy will have a new tractor out, which we knew as they will be at the Pullers Championship in a few week.

But let's get to the important part here. Holy smokes that's an impressive Pro Stock class! 27 entries, assuming they all plan to run the full season. PPL will now be known as the PSPL. Pro Stock Pulling League!!! Great news for those of us that enjoy the class.

Looks like the NTPA Pro stock class might be running a little low on talent after this.

That is a pretty impressive list of pro stocks but am I the only one who’s surprised to not see Rauens on the list with their one (or two) tractors??
