Which one is more common or better to use a 13/51 out of a 1066 or a 13/49 from a 706 IH. This is with a 466 open rpm. |

We run a 13/51 and have many wins to prove it. If you have tight clay tracks, you don't want the 49. Also depending upon who builds your power plant. Most 466s are not up to par with the top of the heap. |

Depends on what you build for a transmission to get your gearing right |

13:51 would be easier on the rear end/transmission. Then speed up the transmission to get your speed you want. Do your research and call around, I’m sure Karl at Atlas can point you in the right direction. |

What is the most common used ratios with 24.5's. Mostly clay but some looser tracks. Looks like the 13/51 might be the go to for this class. Thanks |

Hopefully someone can shed some light for me. I understand alot of factors play into it but just was looking for maybe two of the most common ratios that people run with this type of setup. |

What size turbo????
I'd bet it's half and half. Some run 13/51 some run 49. I don't think it matters THAT much. Final ratio will be more important.... You will probably want a combination of transmission and final drive that gives you these ratios. 22:1. 21:1, 20:1 and a 19:1. Give or take 1 or two depending on turbo. |
