Wondering what deere 404 came with a p pump or how hard it is to convert from an A to a P? Thanks in advance

As far as i know, a 404 never came with a ppump. Ive heard that you can just call a machine shop and get them to bore it out. I bought a ppump one time that had the the seal taken off and turned down to fit in a apump bore.

Pump mounting holes are different on P as well. I believe you will also need to change your oil filter housing to clear the pump as well. It can be done but you would be far more satisfied with a 466 block.

I have one that has been bored out to fit p-pump you have to grind part of the block to fit it in there and can only use three bolts. It is for sale if interested
