Why did they quit having Indy Super Pull?
|
History question

There used to be an indoor pull that rivaled Louisville at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For anyone around at that time, why did they quit having it? |

Went to the Indy Super Pull lots of times. IMO, it was far and a way the best indoor pull going. Both as a participant and a spectator. Large pit area (always had the best pit award) and staged the tractor inside. The simple answer is, it didn't make enough money to continue. There is a minor league hockey team that plays there now as well as IUPUI's basketball team. The Horizon League holds the later rounds of its conference tournament there in March as well. It has been refurbished since pulling was last there. |

Mecum has a yearly car auction there now. I went to many pulls there and was always a real good pull. In the 80`s they had 5,7,9 and open mod classe and all 4 SS classes. along with mini`s!! |
