Tube frame verse wedge frame February 05, 2024 03:10PM
I understand every one was going to tube frame for ag rear end classes to save weight, but now that a lot of tube frame designs are three bars, plus the bracing in between then u have to sheet it with .120 steel, what is the disadvantage of going to a wedge style. For example have 3/16 bent with a lip on top of bottom going from like 7 inches wide at bellhousing to 4 inches at front weight bracket. Last few years a few of tube frames have broken, the mods that run wedge chassis seam to hold up well for tremendous horsepower that goes through them. Thanks for the insight!
