Short Bar Long Bar firestones February 07, 2024 06:22AM
Looking at getting a set of firestone long bar short bar 20.8x38 tires anyone have any experience with pulling with them looking to run 12,500 and 10,000lb farmstock classes any thoughts??????

I had a set on a 1486, mine were radials, they actually worked pretty well farm stock pulling. Won and placed several times with them.

Mark you are right, I stand corrected. They were Goodyear radial LB Sb that was on my tractor. Thanks for the input.

Sorry Patches I see you stated Firstone. Can you tell me what that sidewall says? All Long Bar short bar were bias ply version only. Maybe you have a one off before they switched to the long long. Never seen a pair in 25 years in this business.

Patches, I'm not saying they didnt but in 25 years I have never seen a Firestone all taction 23 degree long bar short bar radial tire in a 20.8x38. Im interested in actually seeing what year that was and the sidewall that says that. Ive seen wierd things but most of them were when they didnt change the name plates on the mold when they changed to something new.

There is a MF 1150 running around eastern Iowa pulling 10500-13500 that was running a set seemed to work really well and on the variety of track conditions I saw it perform on it finished top of the pack.
