I'm working on a sbjd I am using factory internal brakes with a 2840 master cylinder I'm having problems with them being very weak I can't tell if they r not bleeding out or if I'm running to small of a line to make them work properly anyone with experience with this any help thanks |

If it’s a 3000 or 4000 series transmission bleeding them by pumping and opening the bleeder may not work due to the way the internal passages are. I made and used a 1 gallon pressurized setup to push enough volume fast enough to do the job. |

There are several versions of that brake valve over the years. I got a later one with o-ring threaded ports on top. Plugged one. Put fitting in the other to hook to the pressurized can. Also have a smaller standard filter on the outlet. Stay with in all safe pressure ranges of course. Mine is an industrial unit.
I also change filters on it then flush it and use it to pressurize/fill new engines. |

I'm using regular hydrolic fluid because it's all stock parts |

I bleed them like car brakes , left rockshaft cover off and watched where the fluid comes out of bleed valve till no bubbles showed up , forced pedlle down hard to get air out of cyl. that feeds in and out on sides . took a while . 1 hr plus , but brakes are good . preasure set up sounds like a good way . |

Trying to push air down fast enough to get rid of it isn’t easy at all. Not enough volume to move it very far. Takes too long to fill and pump
up the pedal again. By then the air has risen back up in the system. Try bleeding the brakes manually on an older combine with manual brakes. Can’t be done. Too much vertical distance from the pedals to the bleeders. You have to use a pressure bleeder. And still takes a lot of fluid. I also diverted my internal dump port to external lines so I can see when the fluid is clear of air. |
