Enderle.... meh

24 pro stocks bought a Grand National license. As of 5:15 pm Friday, the NTPA website only shows 4 coming. They couldn't get 1 more of the other 20 to run for a potential big payout?
Other classes show a lot of the top 5 GN vehicles skipping the pull. |

Many NTPA pullers are farmers and right now many of them are too busy to spend the time needed to compete at the Enderle. |

The Enderle is a one of a kind event.. Kudos to the NTPA for putting this event on. Having 76 individual pulling in the 13 national classes this is a pulling fans dream. And to make the show even more exciting they have 12 regional classes with 46 pullers vary for the win in their respective classes. The pulling fan can watch 25 classes with 122 drivers.
This pull should be on every pulling fans bucket list. Dick Morgan www.PULLOFF.com Independent Pulling News |

I went in 2010 from Wisc. A bit of a drive for a one day pull, But it was great!! Now with more classes, I am sure its even better. I would reccomend it for anyone!! |

It's a difficult time of the year and being gone almost all of August pulling for points and then another one in early September for points, its hard to justify a 26-hour round trip and three days away from home for this pull. We would have loved to go but I already had a non-moveable work commitment that pays for me to go pulling. The event is awesome, though! |

Thanks for ypur dedication. A 5th was added since the original message, but only 4 DSS will be able to attend. |

10 miles from home and always the best pull of year, great track, fast pace, and best of the NTPA |

Only 4 DSS because it took Esdon until Thursday to back out. Most people are already on the road to head there at that point. Kind of hard to fill that 5th spot late Thursday/Friday. |

Not sure what the deal was this year but I thought it was a one and done rule |
Re: Enderle.... meh

One run and done? i thought that was how this show has been run, like its been printed on t-shirts and stickers for decades. Test puller coming back......maybe but in the GN mini class if you dont get off the line cleanly you can drop??? WTF NTPA. Took the coolest event with one and done and the only place where 400' hooks happened, and changed it for no reason. and conversely get rid of pulloffs at normal hooks. Something needs to change, it is painful to watch something you love die before your eyes. |

How have Theobald's been playing games all season? They are some of the toughest competitors out there? |

You don’t get a second try if your not test puller .1and DoNE means 1 try not2!!! |

The rule still applies if you don't go past 100 feet you can still have a second attempt. It's always been that way. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |

Correct
|
And with that rule means you can either back up and try again immediately or drop 6 for the second attempt As it has ALWAYS been |

I'm not sure what your problem with the Theobalds is but they didn't break any rules nor were they allowed to do anything that everyone else couldn't have done.
If you stop before 100ft you get a second chance. That rule is probably older than me. Stop complaining about something that's not an issue |

It’s an interesting topic… Honestly, I’m surprised more people don’t play that game. Either they think the track will get better, or maybe they didn’t come off the line just right…so back out and regroup…maybe spend some time “checking over the motor” before deciding to drop to make sure any heat gets back out of the motor…etc.
Yes, it is perfectly within the rules. So no, it’s not technically “wrong”. But let’s say everyone has the same read that the track is going to get better; and then 20 people in a row basically “bump the sled” and drop 6 or to the bottom. (not personally sure…in a larger class can you drop more than 6 after a first attempt??) Just an interesting scenario that I’m surprised doesn’t happen more… Do pullers look at it as more of an “integrity of the sport” type issue vs. a “working the rules in your favor” thing? |

I wish I had a count on how many times they have dropped 6 all season in all classes. Easily has happened 8-10 times. Glad to see this time it didn’t help. |
