Diesel trucks at Farm Show

I was looking at the truck count for the Saturday afternoon session and it seems like the diesel trucks are low on numbers sometimes. Time for a change? Wonder how many light pros apply Move a session of Super Farms replace it with more light pros and put that session of super farms on saturday afternoon show to replace the trucks. The light pro would have a finals then too. A bunch of pullers apply for the show and it looks like based on the truck count they take it for granted. just my 02 |

My understanding is they have only invited 10 SSD FWD 8n recent years because they take longer to run. I guess the time to pull 10 diesel trucks = the time for 12 tractors. I don't think it's because of lack of pullers. The class is growing. |

Following up on this last point. Is the class growing? It may be but just as an observer from the outside, it seems most of the SSD 4X4 trucks change hands or get parked after a 2 or 3 years. My guess is this a pretty pricy class to run and maintain the trucks (find a class that doesn’t). There didn’t seem to be many commitments to the GN or Champions Tour - consistently running on tour. The most you’ll see (at 1 time) is at BG and the top runners “usually” don’t go to the farm show as there’s just isn’t enough track length. |
