I ran a 3 speed when when I pulled a classic tractor class. When I jumped classes, I eliminated the 3 speed. Was told that it would not hold up. At that time hp was around 800. I would contact Terry at TEF. 414-379-8485, he has built some 3 speeds that have held up to.
