I'm just a young guy but back when the old timers pulled they always said the introduction of the turbo is what screwed pulling up. Once that came out everyone wanted bigger cubes and it made to cost go nuts.

The pull use to be Friday night in sauk county but due to bstp conflicts it was moved to Saturday night of the fair. And yes fairs are usually more than one day events but sauk county use to have a big country concert that can't just be moved. Not sure if they are this year. I use to be on the fair board.

On mine there's a spring-loaded switch that goes through the one cover ahead of the shifting rails and there's a ride that's been welded to the shifting rail so that when you shift it in reverse it pulls the switch and turns the light on

I put a gopro on my rollcage. Easy to reach. We have also suction cupped it to the good. But then you have to have someone turn it on before you hook or Bluetooth it.

Southwest doesn't sanction any farm classes. That's a pull promoters deal. Check fairs websites.

All I did was bought a steering wheel coupler like race cars use. The style with spines is the best in my opinion. For mine off of ebay.

The lighter the tractor it isn't all about power. It's how you drive it and get what power you have to the ground.

If you have a magnum back plate they will bolt right up to bell housing. Frame rails will need to be modified a little. A magnum bell housing and 66,86,and 50 series tractors all have the same bolt pattern.

When I get mine finally going it's going to be built to run alcohol just because I can't run it every pull everywhere so why spend the money to get a diesel setup. Does it have something to do that you can get a full fuel setup for alcohol that cost less than your injection pump for diesel? In south-central is proven that diesels and alcohol can run together and compete

The only class that I can think of that needs numbers is llss. Would be nice if the rules would be the same as other groups in the state. I'm working on a alcohol llss, and hopeful it will be out in a couple years. 13 dollar milk doesn't help.

Go with 466 chevy big block high dome pistons. You will have to cut valve reliefs. But you can use stock connecting rods just have to machine them narrower on piston side. Make it like 320 cubes

Just my opinion don't call a paced class a open class. If you are passed then it is not an open class. Just my opinion. And I have seen clubs run passed classes. Some make it cause they have hot classes to put around them. Others fade over time. Tractor pulling keeps doing a big circle. And there is no such thing as a farm stock class any more. You might get a couple at a pull right off the

You are right. Speed limits make you build for more torque. With that you want more tread on tires for bite. That in turn puts more strain on driveline and engine.
