Re: "Top Cut" tires - 1 year ago

Our class runs top cut tires. The way we define them is no alterations to the front edge of the tire. you can cut the top down and back edge just do work to the leading edge. Here is the rule right out of our rulebook 7) Tires: 20.8 x 38 or 18.4 x 42 maximum. Ag tires only. Top-cutting allowed (no alterations to front of lugs or face of tire). Any rim width or wheel style allowed.

Re: Firestone 23 degree vs bfg power savers - 2 years ago

I was told on the older firestone 23 degrees you run 12 or less or 18 or more. Anything in between will bounce. On one tractor we are running 11.5 psi. On the other we are at 18.5 psi. Neither bounce. We run to hot to farm.

Re: Hot Farm is changing - 3 years ago

Check out the Illini State Pullers 2 Hot 2 Farm. There are also af few Associations in Wisconsin that run the same rules or very similar. Most of the tractors in the Farm Stock class from the Midwest Winter Nationals. Re: Single Port water injection - 3 years ago

we are running 2 ports in the cross over. My best advise would be to call Fair Valley Performance. They can answer any and all questions you might have. We did see a gain in Torque over not running water. Also all of our cylinders are fairly close in EGTs.

We used to carry a cooler full of ice water and put it in the tank just before we pulled. No ice in the tank but the water was ice cold.

Re: Midwest winter nationals 12000 farmstock - 4 years ago

There is a simple reason for the name of the class. IPA has a class named farmstock. When klint added this class he took that name and their rules as a start. I pull with Illini State Pullers in the 2 hot to farm class. With our set up we run pretty competitive. Our rules are drastically different. So klint added those as well. That is the reason some of the rules contradict each other.
