Great. Another association with his own rules and lack of enforcement. As a past participant in a smoke class I had no water or fuel sampled nor did I see any other classes checked. You can not build a new association and expect it to flourish with that level of leadership. Bash away but the truth hurts.
PPL pulled samples of both water and fuel out of the tractors at the M

You will definitely want the water to make it lug. Rotary pump and smaller injectors is gonna hold you back some also. Run a 101 housing, tighter the better. Likely won’t be the best choice for mph classes either, as you have to turn them pretty hard to keep them lit. Honestly your setup would likely be better paired to a S300.
I would guess you will be in that 700-800 horse range.

A thumbs up on Back40 engineering from here also. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and offers a system that’s easy to set up and use, even if you are not the most technologically savvy.

Probably be in the 700 to 800 hp range.
That would be my guess as well. A rotary pump will hold you back quite a bit over a P.

What do you like for a 12 mph IH 66 series type of tractor, high 3rd to much? Is a custom gear needed? 3000 rpm
3rd is definitely too fast. Most 66 guys are running a custom 2.4 or 2.5 gear for 12 mph. Karl at Atlas can hook you up with a gear set.

Most guys run them between 20"and 22". Ran two different sets on steels at 21" in an open speed class with decent results.

Open speed? You would be better off with a top-cut set of the new style Firestone Deep Treads or the BFG HT radials. The big letter old style Firestones work ok, but I’d go with the other two in a road gear or above class.

Group 31 here also, no alternator. Runs lights, data logger, and electric water pump. Does fine, just make a habit of throwing a battery tender on it when you get home.

Call Karl at Atlas. He can help you out. As for 2 or 3 disk. I would go with the 3 disk and never look back. Karl can fix you up. Good luck
What he said. Karl does top-notch work. You will definitely want to go with a triple disk.

Plates on both sides of the floor. Holding down an 11000 lb. tractor with 6 d-rings set up that way, never had any issues.

Brings up the Rotary vs a pump vs p pump questions
I would think a 480 cubic inches,3lm and 3000rpm would be almost perfect. Would a p pump be to much fuel?!
The 13mm rotaries will keep us just fine with a P3000 or P7100 with that setup. Works either way.

Box charger is the way to go to keep costs down. An S300 series charger ($800ish) is a good option. Below is what we run and some videos to give you an idea.
MMTTPA 11,000lb. Hot Stock Tractors
1. 466 cubic inch limit. Any motor over 466 cubic inches must have factory stroke and bore for that brand of tractor, up to a maximum of 585 cubic inches.
2. The tractor is limited to a single turbo
