Your post stated that the V8 is a 903 not was, I know you know it's 650. This was for others that may take it as they are still 903. Boy wouldn't that be a runner though a triple charged alky @903

The alky V8 motors started out as a 903 but are decubed for the 650 max cube limit. It is my time at BG. One thing I thought was bad was some drivers names weren't announced till after they pulled.

Last German I rebuilt was a 4 cylinder. The expensive part is the cam bearings which need to to be line bored after installation. With the rocker assembly off you can somewhat check the bearing condition by removing the tack drive in timing cover and prying up on slot that is in end of cam. Mount a dial indicator on a push rod on No. 1 cylinder. this one had .015" clearance If you overhaul one m

Garner was a Tomah probably 15 years ago when he had a Pizza Hut pizza delivered to the pits. He insisted that I and a coworker of mine help him eat his pizza. Kinda neat he took time to tell us all about a little turbine powered generator he was using.

I'm a diesel guy that pulled a 1466 for 18 years but this is a neat class. Ed I haven't been to gordyville for about 9 years but I remember a 460 there that ran real well even against the big cube tractors. I would like to see this class run. I told people when I got home that 460 sounded like a ferrari. Where could I find a schedule of this class. thanks

It was probably the fastest I have ever seen a super farm class run down the track. They got up and ran with the sled.

I think it's fake too. There's no smoke when it starts and look how the belt wraps around the one pulley . Its only catching a cog or two

The first hook would feel cheated because the sled would get lighter as the class went on. Maybe electric tractors would be the answer no smoke for pollution and no noise to hurt the tender track neighbors ears I think everyone could drain there fuel into a big barrel and stir it around then everyone would use the same fuel mix
