I talked to Darin Ratermann after the pull after he had a chance to look things over back in the pits. Per Darin, a rod broke and went through the block, knocking the three way dump valve off, and the guillotine stayed open about an 1/8 inch. Once he got the side shields off and manually pushed the guillotine shut, it then immediately shut off.

Is Jay Ruff’s(Unfinished Business) distance correct?…I’ve seen it marked differently. Just wanted to make sure…also do you know if they are taking 4 from the limited pros to the finals from each class or 3 like they did with the light supers the one year? Appreciate you posting results since I can’t find them anywhere else than on the live tweeting the NFMS twitter does.

I’d pay good money to hear Poosch announce that one. Even better would’ve been listening to Leroy announce it without laughing like Beavis after he did it. (I can’t say I’d be any better…love ya Leroy!)
Your post earns a thumbs up from me, because you know I would probably do it … Every.Single.Time

Pull near here had a $5,000 winner take all pro stock diesel truck class a year or so ago. Limited entries to 20 trucks. Limit wasn’t necessary- they got 5.
If you are talking about the Oquawka FFA pull, I know for a fact that the winner of the $5K paid out some of his winnings to the other 4 trucks that hooked that evening.

To help them gain traction with this I’d like to do a large cash prize winner take all mid August for $4k.
So if you get 20 of the the biggest & baddest 4.1s in the Midwest there, one would go home with $4k and the other 19 would go home empty handed, correct?

Yes, there will be 2 sessions of the 9500# Limited Pro Stock tractors (4.1s), with the top 3 from each session transferring to the Saturday night finals.
There will only be a single Saturday afternoon session for the 6400# Lightweight Super Stock Alcohol tractors.

Denny Jackson from Toulon, IL was the original owner of the "Green Gambler" While Denny owned it, Jeff Justus drove it 95% of the time.
Denny Jackson then sold the tractor to Dan Dexter from Galesburg, IL. Jeff Justus continued to drive the tractor. It was renamed "Lightning and Thunder" (see attached picture) as kind of a spin off from Jeff's days back in the yesteryear pulling "Whi

At this point in time how much of a top running “pro stock” tractor has anything OEM on it??
Then why do announcers waste their time trying to hype up the battle between brands? If everything is arbitrary anyways, let announcers hype up the crowd by where pullers got their ice from.
What do you say, Charles … should we try this next weekend at “The Pullers Championship”?

Really enjoyed the live stream from Wheatland Saturday night. Was very well done.
Thank you for the kind words. Leslie Mears & Dan Mayer are both awesome to work with. Leslie is great at what she does, and Dan is a walking tractor pull encyclopedia. The Lucas Oil Production Studio & MAVTV crew are fantastic and make us sound & look good.

QuoteMod FanIf you want to watch a good mod class go to Nebraska Bush lots of variety. Quite possibly the best mod class I ever had the privilege to watch was last year in Mound City, tons of Illinois tractors came and the variety put on one awesome show, I know they came because of Covid but there was nothing disappointing to that show.
And them Illinois mods had such a great time at Mound Ci

Is this just temporary for being at MEC for 2021, or is it permanent? I've never been to gordyville, so I just wondered if the facility at MEC is bigger and better, or if it should go back to the other place.
This is a temporary 1-year move due to the restrictions in the state of Illinois, and especially those in Champaign County

My mom & Darius Harms were 1st cousins (their dads were brothers), so not only did I attend with my dad, it was a family affair each summer. Darius is the one responsible for getting me into announcing. My first gig was the Champaign County Fair in Urbana, IL in the summer of 1985 just a few weeks before I turned 18.
