To me a plasma cutter would put so much heat around the cut edges . Copper is a great heat conductor.
I would definately want material left on for finish machining.

It’s a great class as far as variety. Most all brands are represented. It’s also a class that still puts alcohol against the diesels which is more interesting to watch them together. As long as the small chassis can hold up to the increases in power in the future.

8000lb unlimited. I wish the light was the 2 Hemis 14-71 or 3 8-71 chev. Model it off the outlaw mod class. The mid ninety’s that light class was an exciting class. It also gave the state level competitor a chance to step up and hit a major event. Just my opinion.

The downfalls are small diameter main bolts but should be able to be tapped bigger. Make new steel caps and girdle.
Stock rod bolts are small but aluminum rods for alcohol fixes that.
Rocker arms are tiny and only one bolt but should be able to machine and use a head bolt. Build new rocker arms.
Pencil injectors but can be drilled for spark plugs.
