The 2008 speed limits were only in the farm stock class, 3500-5500lbs 3.5 mph 7000lbs 4 mph 9000 5 mph 10500-15000 7mph.
Yes, those can be changed.
If I remember right one guy wanted to raise it to 5 mph in light class.
When he pulled he didn't break 3 mph and power out (loose track).

I am unable to attend that meeting. (Have to work) Hoping someone will post results about meeting on this site.
I think that improving our track is a big improvement, we are working on rules and classes with other other pullers.

I have talked to alot of people on the phone also.
Whats the difference if there are classes with speed limits and without?
If you don't like the speed limit, pull in the class without it. A speed limit in farm classes makes it a fair pull, Right or Wrong?
Please explain how if you disagree.

We really don't want to check rpm's. Alot of work, can't check them going down track, (not that I know of yet).
I have been talking to people about speed limit in farm class, majority says that speed limit is needed.
Altered farm maybe not have one or set it higher?

Thanks for the info/advice.
How do you judge or draw the line between farm and improved farm without a speed limit in farm? Then people that don't belong in farm are in there and farm guys are mad. So do you just have a, say, 9000 lbs class and run it? No limits to what has been done to tractors as long as it's not running like a open? Then where is the line for a open?

We are in the procress of restructuring the pull for 2009. It looks like it will still be on Labor Day weekend on SUNDAY.
We will have a Clay track,and guard rail on both sides (if we find enough poles and volunteers.)
We are looking into a different eliminator.
We are cutting some classes and added some.
