It's old technology that we ran back in the early 70's. You will have a difficult time competing with any other LLSS club with that set up.

Big thanks to the entire Ohio River Valley Gang for a great week of Tractor Pulling in beautiful Kentucky!
A special gratitude to the Wrights who took us in and treated us like family and to the Powells, Prewitts, Dibbles and Gordons for the laughs and warm friendship that you offered. We now know the true meaning of Southern Hospitality. You were always there to lend a hand, offer advice an

Trying to give my wife a new job this year to video our pulls. I have seen some great pulling videos and some pretty crappy ones too. Can anybody give me some suggestions that work well for you. Do you like to set up at the start, mid track or finish line? Do you start out with a tight shot or get the whole track in the picture? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Oliver Dreams, Those look like the rules that we adopted for the Michigan Truck and Tractor Pullers Club in West Michigan. Give me a call, we have some local guys that know those Cummins engines pretty well and can probably help you out right here. The more tractors the better!

For the most part, they are off the shelf Hilborn parts. Try Brent at Gene's Machine. They are listed in the builder links page.

An Alcohol system for a LLSS would be in the range of $2500 to $4000 for a fairly complete set up. It would be capable of most of your power upgrades with minnimal additional costs until you stepped up into the LSS class with bigger cubes and a multi charger setup.

Atlas has Good Quality parts if you have time to wait. Nice guys, but we had to wait a while for our custom set. If it's a common gear, they may have it on the shelf.

I have a good rolling chassis with an IH 656 rear, gears, full tube frame, SFI 3 bar rollcage, seat, hitch, brakes, weight brackets, alum. fronts, 24.5 doublecuts on steel, MXM hood, for close to the same money. Give me a call if you would like me to e-mail you some photos.

Tractors in the Thumb club with similar rules (less cubes) are getting 20+ MPH ground speed. A cage and a harness is pretty good insurance in case of a rough ride.
