Any one ever use Nitro-methane in a puller...or suspect it has been done by a competitor? It would be pretty awesome to see a 4 engine mod make a run on it. Maybe it could be a new class...lol

Logan,
As a Puller I appreciate everyone's effort to put the entire pull on. The inner track was definitely too dry and loose and I'm sure very hard to get a good sled setting. It was starting to come around when the sun went down and It is unfortunate that your sled broke but I understand sometimes $hit happens! Maybe next year a backup sled might be a good Idea for this pull?

What were the results of the 6200 4wd truck class? They do not come up on NTPA's site for some reason.

The Super Stock Diesel truck class has had some growth in numbers and it will probably do just fine for years to come, as there have been very few rule changes over the years.
The Pro-Stock Diesel truck (3.6" charger) class has defiantly seen a drop in numbers and places to hook. This class is not likely to survive in my opinion.
The 3.0" limited pro diesel truck class is thriving with man

Well said PullMX. This year in our class (Lim Pro Diesel Truck) we literally could pull at 60+ hooks within a 200 mile radius of of North Central Ohio this year via PPL, NTPA, COTPC and FPP. We should support all pulling organizations and I am thankful for having these choices.

Ih's method would work well on a straight 6 but no way would it work on a V-8 engine.....Unless you leveled up the Cylinder you are testing.

We have pulled with both groups and have no complaints about NTPA or PPL. I am curious what a "Leader" of NTPA or even PPL gets paid? Is it a full time salary or more of a part time deal?

I just bought one locally. A very nice unit and a fair price. Mine totaled $2200. It does take some time to install along with a few phone calls to the RPM and the owner will walk you through the issues you will have. I highly recommend this datta logger.

My thoughts exactly! Even if you cant do some of the build yourself it would be advisable to " manage" the project and farm out the engine build and whatever else and keep the tractor in your possession. Surely you and your buddies can install a motor and so on. Don't feel sorry for you.

Better shielding is needed between the driver and the drive line such as NTPA has just mandated. I would also not allow anyone to run a mini rod with their feet up along the side the block as well. I cant imagine what will happen if a rear rod kicks out and windows the block.....it's all in the name of safety...not trying to be critical of any team in particular.

We placed an order with them about 4 weeks ago. My son mostly communicated with them through Fbook messaging and Email. When we agreed upon a design and paid the bill through CCard we received our crew shirts in 2 weeks. 4 weeks total through design and shirts to our front door. Had zero problems with them and they did an awesome job!.....not sure what happened with your deal. We would use them

Mabe we should outlaw pulling tractors, cars and guns entirely!....Think of the lives saved!
Seriously as a fellow puller I think the time has come for wheel tethers, especially at indoor pulls. Very fortunate no one was hurt.

I count 20 NTPA PS diesel 3.0 truck hooks and OSTPA has 18 listed for the same class. It's great to see the class take off like this. Hopefully there are enough trucks out there to fill the class with both organizations.
