The right way to do it is to have a company sponser your tractor. That company can deduct the money that it give you for your tractor as advertising. As long as the company can prove that the sponsership will bring in business, it is ok.
Example:
XYZ farms give Joe 20,000 for his pulling tractor. That tractor going down the track catches the attention of a hog buyer who then contacts XYZ

I like the open pit thing. The only time we have had trouble is at wisnor and the drunks steal the flashlights out of the back of the mule while its hooked to the tractor. Then u chase them down they claim its theirs. And when u ask them where they got the CIPC sticker they don't know.

I've pulled quite a few sleds over the last few years. I have my favorites as I am sure everyones does (Kevin B in the Red is one of my best) but with that said, as long as the sled is the same for every puller, than it is a good sled. Busch is a good sled period, and really nice people too!

Knowing the NTPA tech (and Outlaw tech) guys like we do, I find it hard to believe that any one related to NTPA said that. That "fat" one is prob. HP. Nice guy but does a mean Village people thing. With that said, unless you know who you were talking to, I doubt it was a NTPA person

If you use compact floresent lighting, a inverter will work. We use one and it is attached to the battery that runs our winch. We have a Dozer battery and it will run the trailer for a couple of days. It will not run a AC unit or a fridge

You are correct, What I missed was that the 531 could come as a NA motor or a turbo/intercooler motor. (6030) I ASSUMED that the turbo version was the 619. I was wrong

The END - 13 years ago
Guys (gals) it simple. Doug made a call. It was not the right one that the pullers voted on. I asked the same question 3 years ago and got a different call. Am I ticked? Um a maybe, but I'm over it.
Now what to do: GO pulling. The end
Let this die

Here is my thoughts on the x factor;
Good sled. Great people operating it. Did it pull hard? Yep. Could it have pulled easier. Yep. Will the guys running it change there setting. Don't know. But I would bet my tractor that everything was the same from tractor to tractor in that class. What else do you want but a fair pull. Read the sled, track, and anything else and pull. The sled will not
