Light pro started out as a 1600 to 1800 hp class (approximately ) in 5 or 6 yrs it has become a 2800 to 3000 hp class I think at today's power it should go component. The point I was trying to make was this class is following the same path to distruction that almost every other class is heading down. If you create a new class with a wide open set of rules. the big egos and

We can be replaced by a demo derby or a concert or something different don't think it can't happen because it already has some places. All I'm saying is if you have no place to pull. it's not cool when your home in the driveway. we need to be more open to fans and listen .and not so concerned about beating the hell out of your competition at all cost.

Anyone who doesn't understand the concept of people (fans) buying the tickets to watch a pull so the promoter can pay the pullers is a dam fool. The aragence of some people is utterly amazing. Tractor pulling is not all about you and your little tractor. For the promoter this is a business weather it's a fair or a privately run event. No asses in the seats m

Soon this will be a mute subject the big GN classes hardly have enough equipment to put on a decent show now. look around at the competition rite now notice the ages we're not getting younger . Unless this balls out gun ho attitude about rules an regulations is gotten under control and revised all the big classes will become exstinted I love big supers probably more than

300 ft is the standard stick to it if you build a one pass tractor your fooling yourself in the long run . the fan's want to see the pull off its king of the mountain with tractors. Next time your sitting in the stands ask a stranger what they want to see. remember ultimately this is still a show for them. BG Is a special place probably the best pull of the year and I would

In my opinion we need pump limitations 14mm is plenty big enough the gate should be closed before the horse gets away let's keep this class from getting out of control

I have been saying pump limitations for a long time and the only bullheaded excuse is always your not going to fool with my pump. If you only have a limited amount of fuel you can only make so much power. realistic super stock limitations are 30 yrs over due and I'm afraid too late .by doing nothing and having no for site they have just about killed the original tractor

Go ahead dont put limits on anything. That's been the attitude so far. how has that worked out for all the grand national classes? There has to be a course correction soon or all the big classes will be down to just exabition classes. It's not just the cost evan if you can afford it look at the pure work and time these poor guys go threw and we're not getting an

It will be hard to tell how much they've advanced when no one is left in the class. Wake up this stuff is out of control. Not everything always should be done just because some can they've gone so far only a few can follow. About it get used to only a few tractors and quite bitching about it that's all you're going to get $$$$$$$$$$$

In 1980 cubic inch limit in pro stock was 620. No pump limitations no turbo limitations and this was called a beginner class for guys to eventually move to super stock. In a few years the class had progressed away from its originaly intended path to something all of it's own. Now we talk about cubic inch limitations and other limitations and wonder why we have falling numbers and

If plunger size is relatively unimportant as you suggest why do most super farms want to run bigger pumps a 13 will provide more than enough fuel for that class. They want to shorten duration of delivery we keep coming back to cost of equipment and the falling numbers of tractors is it so difficult to see. If you don't have as much fuel to burn you can only go so far. These smalle

In the super stock class we tried 30 yrs ago for that same thing and were plainly told no way were they going backwards. Now see what mess they have.the haves and the have nots there was even talk of a claiming race type thing and they wouldn't here of it. This is why the ( lower eshalon classes) have become more popular LLSS light pro stock hot farm

Every couple of months this argument has been coming up. The truth no one wants to talk about. Things have been let to be out of control. The big classes have had little or no limitations and they have gone to a place where only an elite few can follow. Remember this is a show for the fans. You don't need 5000 hp supers and 4000hp pro stocks to entertain the crowd. This is wh

I've had pulling tracters most of my life in one form or another and I've have not once been approached by a younger person to become involved with or mentored threw pulling. I don't understand it personally when we were young we went looking for opportunities.

I have to agree with snow farmer. The younger generation doesn't care about the same things that we did. Things are different now different interests and many other distractions when we were kids Danny dean and John klug were kings. Hell most young farm kids have never driven a 1066 or a 4020 so how can you expect them to have the same thoughts of this sport we did
