The old N/A big block Phrase " there is not replacement for displacement" is soooo old. That does not apply to all classes or combinations. So Black Bart what you are saying is. A 540 no matter what kinda junk turbo or pump it has on it will beat a 466 all day that have good fuel and air? 20 years ago there where stock turbos and not very good pumps and injectors. Things have come along way!

I had 2 set of tires get some work done to them over the winter. 1 set was and still is beautifull!! Very god job after 10 passes edge still very sharp. However the other set has some issues one tire very bad issues. Will not meantion who's work but would like them to call me I am hoping they looked at the tires.

BSTP 466's do run VERY well. If they would just switch to real tires it would be one of the best classes around.

It will be interesting to see where the SF class goes in the future. They are down hooks and tractors for sure as of now on the schedual but It is early as well. Some SF may be going on the Champions tour. I have heard of some other Wisconsin SF's putting on Ice boxes so they may pick up a few..... I may go for a hook after all someone has to take last place.

7840 and 8340 same chassis different engine. A 7840 with a 456 turbo and rotory injection pump is an 8340. Just change the decal on the nose where the # is.
As stated the 456 from an 8340 will bolt in. But so will any other 456 with some parts changing that would normally be done anyways. Larger HP 456 engines have 8 bolt crank shafts Vs. the six in the 7840 but you would want to ditch the st

It depends upon how it is set up the truck head I believe will flow more but is more always more? I have a very old truck head that was done and redone at 2 of the top name shops. We flowed it did 345+ @ .600 I am not impressed at all.
We built a Genesis head only flowed 335-340 @ .600.
The genesis head had larger intake valve as well but flows top end less
I will take the Genesis head any

That rule has not neen enforced as far as I pulled in SF in the Ford it is difficult to use on that small with the CDS turbo it hits valve cover. I made mine 3 inches in the small side and wrapped the whole thing in exhaust tape and never was checked on it but then again I was evan near a top contender either.
