I agree with you on that one. I started pulling with an Oliver and soon realized that Antique Oliver wasnt going to be the way to keep up with the rest. I went to a Deere that I can find parts for and the company is still in business. Take your Hood of and go run modified if you want, that should be your real choice. Still have an old 88 on the farm and its a good tractor for what it was made t

Yep Esdon let off the gas and coasted. So run them at 6200 Alky and 6400 or 6500 Diesel. Let the Diesel run a 18 inch hitch like most light Alkys have had to. The weight of a diesel pump and radiator and all the extras are close to the front of the tractor not on the rear hitch.They wouldnt let the unlimited run with them with 500# at 8000 so why give them 500# in a light class that helps them

Know one built a heavy'er block for a Cockshutt or an Oliver or a Massey or MM or Ford or Allis until the 40 ser. Detroit for the Allis. There were and still are some good Fords, but not in the heavy classes. Why ? A lot of people that loved these tractors were forced to switch to JD or IH because of only having four mains or blocks that were to small to get more cubes from. Most brands al

Are you saying IH - JD - Case-Oliver- MM- and the rest all use the same block. And what crank? Or one billit crank, not JD or IH. Or build several blocks for several different brands of cranks and heads? Just Asking dont want my butt chewed.
