You can use a lever calculator to figure out how much work each bracket is doing if you know their distances from the center of the rear axle and your hitch length and compare numbers from belly to front

I see. Out east here its worded “any part falling onto the track during the duration of the hook, other than breakage will result in a disqualification.” Guess thats just what I’m used to out here. Whoopie Maker was concerned about a cover falling on the track the other night that wouldve ended up in a dq they thought, guess that wouldn’t have been the case after watching Dirkensen

Around here that is exactly what we are seeing. The lower entry level classes with tighter rules i.e. RPM and turbo limits with uncut tires are growing fast while the higher level classes are losing numbers. Some of it might be an organization thing, some of it might be cost, and I know some guys sold off their higher level tractors to go back to pace classes simply because they don’t want to be

I resurrected this post because the class members recently voted for some major rule changes.
The requirement for rotary pumps was voted out, new rule states P7100 or smaller. The pump change was driven by lack of availability of good high volume rotary pumps, P7100 pumps are much easier to obtain and cheaper to maintain.
The turbo rules now require a Borg S200SX with no modificati

Have the block magnafluxed and deckplate and girdle. Tied the top and bottom ends together. Id say 98% of IH guys are running a true IH 466 block. They’ll take it…with reinforcement. Its never a guarantee but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

Hypothetical, like the guys above mentioned a good idea for a 45-55 utility class. I kind of like that idea. But lets say 95-10500 for weight somewhere in that range, you pick, a speed limit, and 3,000 rpms. We’ll say a class where you dont need to spend 10k on performance parts to be able to compete. Curious who you are because I like the steel wheel amish joke lol

Lets see what different folks think from different areas, what would be your ideal starter tractor class along the lines of “farm stock”? Weight amongst other rules. If you were starting a points class with just that info what would it look like?

Who's doing the tech? The bearded guy who's announcing? That does real good when he is buddy's with true blue with the upside down wheelie bars. Need an outside guy doing the tech
What part of this don’t you understand? Its a hot stock class. No real “tech” going on other than safety equipment which he had. What tractor do you pull in the class I’m curiou

So for a guy who has a tractor that he only pulls with, mind you 3,000 rpm farm stock pace classes, (no farm or money for bigger class ) running the cast exhaust elbow yet how would one go about cross bolts close to the turbo? I would think the cast elbow would be weakened by adding the bolts and IF the exhaust wheel would hit them, it could shatter the elbow creating more pieces? Would cross bo

Sounds to me that all of ya plus the Big Apple complex and right along with the whole DC swamp needs to be bulldozed right out into that big water mass to the east of ya.
That'll certainly take pulling to the next level - sinking!!
A post that shouldve never even been posted. If theres an issue with a tractor it should be taken up with the owner and tech man, not thrown on

The announcer and true blue are buddy's that's why he got away with going out of bounce! True blues turbo is so big last I saw I could fit my head in there and still had room to wiggle my ears! Not to mention the big 540 cubes and recast head! Should I mention the sigma pump or we just going to be quite on that!
So where can I find this sussex rule book? I

JW, I believe that was directed above not to you, maybe I’m reading into it wrong, but I know your only concern from how I read your posts was about whether or not he was out of bounds, which if over 300 feet is irrelevant due to the fact official track length is 300 feet, maybe its different there but if there is no white line you cant be out of bounds, I believe it goes by the tractor being out

I was hearing things about that pull in New Jersey. New Jersey needs to crack down on their pulls. Running 3000 and open rpm with no safety equipment and no checks anything on any tractors. There was a blue ford that pulled almost 400 feet and pulled it thru the exit at end of track. Wow that was accident waiting to happen. I don’t know if that was the class for him if you’re putting 40

There are variables, a stock 10mm off like a case or a worked over 10mm pulling pump? An 11mm M100 youre looking at about 300 hp, 10mm A pump worked over youll be very well north of 500 if built right

42’s seem to be a double edged sword from what I see in my area, but its a lot of pace pulling, they either do really good, or there is too much footprint to firmly plant and they sit and spin. For an open speed class 38’s all day, pace I preffer 38’s as I feel they are more universal but there are times 42’s will definately walk the dog on 38’s. If you want to go with bigger tires, remember they
