Is there anyone who is building a transmision and transmision inout shaft for the quad range tractors, blew the top shaft and stub shaft up on mine. I need a stronger than stock trans, but would like to keep the two speed for now and eventualy go to a dry clutch, but retain the same trans.

Is is possible to dry clutch a 4430, but that I mean take the stock 4430 trans and ditch the quad and wet clutch housing and bolt a 4020 clutch housing up to it to run a dry clutch?

Im 496 with a good head cam and p pump. I hope to go bigger with my bore in the future. My previouse motor was a 505 7.6 from riverside. I loved that motor pulled for 4 years in my tractor, it was three years old when I got it and never had a lick of trouble with it, but that eas only a 500cc a pump.

We made one run on a heavy clay track with no slipping in a gear over c4 at 9700lbs and spun out. Weighted it up to 10500 the cluctch didn't come close to holding. Brought the tractor home, split it found the pto side was

Hey fair game what are the rules there my tractor has been going there for a few years now never been teched by anyone there, I have yet to seen a damn rule. I believe the point cheif is making is if your going to remove tractors from classes you need rules that define the class so we know what is leagal for that class, then go ahead and enforce them. That is how rules work you see it is easy. Th

The engine is breathing heavey it is in a tractor I am looking at buying. I lost a transmission in another 8970, so I am looking at a tractor with a tired motor and good tranny for 15000. I want a spare motor since i have three tractors and all have over 8000hrs, one at 10000. What can I do to get more power out of the 456 but still be farm employee freindly?

I have a new holland 8970 that the motor went down on. I am wondering if the 7.8 would be a better choice for power over the 456. or if it would even fit in the tractor. The next question I have is would the 456 head fit the 7.8 block. What is the best combination for duable power with the ford/ new holland engines? Thanks fo any imput in advanvce

I need something a little more substancial than bigger tires, I am hoping to be around 600 or 700hp, so I think I need something in the drivetrain to speed it up. I was looking to seee if anyone knew anything about the gearing in them. If there is a difference between the final drives or ring and pinion

Does anyone have any experiance with increasing the speed in a 3010 through the drivetrain. I am looking to but a 466 in a 3010, or 3020 to pull 5500-8500lbs open rpm. Lastly is one drivetrain better than the other, when it comes to 3010's or 3020's. thank you

Have you tried to run 42 inch rubber on that tractor. I ran 20.8 42's all last year, I am not sure of the true ratio, but it certinly made a difference for my tractor. After that you can go to 4010 finals or buy half gears for your transmision

How big of a turbo are you running, and its common to have to modify your water manifold to clear a charger I cut mine and rewelded the legs back on to it at a 45 degree angle. As for your turbo outlet just get an aluminum elbow and piping your gopign to have to cut back your compressor housing and cut on the elbow some but if u have a decant fabricator you should be able to weld to elbow on to t

you only need six just cut them in half. Try to find the smaller diamiter magnets. They will have a similar shape to your push rod on the end of them.

I have got a stock quad running 250psi, just change the filter bolt to a stonger grade other wise it may strectch the bolt. if you are not looking to use the tractor any longer on the farm you can lock the pto clutch to the traction clutch u just need to make sure you rout your oil properly. I am running a 4430 at 3000rpm and can run road gear on non clay tracks, no clutch problems, or quad probl
