The LLSS class seems to be gaining popularity due to being able to try different combos as far as engines go in the same class. Super farm class and others got so out of hand because like any club with limit rules, eventually everyone builds their tractors to specific limits of the class and it ends up being the ones who spend more $ on the latest greatest that inch the others out. What about a class like we have in boat racing "factory" class. Engine and components are sealed and work done by one certified location. Or have specs that need to be met and then certified by that shop (non bias). Basically same theory as you were stating.

Here is a 14-71 littlefield blower i put on my 1466. Pulled twice and worked well. Blower was worn out and sent tiny bits of aluminum into engine, popped the top ring land off piston. Took it off and sold blower, just had to try it.

2 stroke detroits need a blower to scavenge exhaust. In an effort to help with torque GM put a turbo on top of some of the blowers. GM coined the term "Supercharged" system which was a combination of turbo pushing blower. Not sure about rule interpretation but a Blower forces air into an engine plain and simple.

What is the gear ratio guys are running in 6000-7000lb diesel tractors 466cu with 3x3 charger, 24.5tires open rpms? I have heard anywhere between 20 to 28.

Come pull in Western New York, we have a 4cyl "open" class. any 4 cyl up to 2.5liter engine can have any size air compressing device. Gas tractors 1600lbs, diesel 1650 (for now). 31'' tires
i would like to see this class take off. "Cheap" to build, fun to drive, easy to tote around.
