Lightweight flywheels September 03, 2011 02:15PM
Is there any difference of performance with a light or heavy flywheel?(llss or light supers)

My opinion is that it will depend upon how you have to drive it. An engine with a heavy flywheel will not want to change RPM as much as one with a light one. If you come off the line at max rpm a heavy will help by not dropping as many rpm. If you need to come off easy & open it up after the tires hook up, then you would benefit from a light one.
