hey guys this is more of a stock pulling question. is there anyway to get a v8 ih to be competitive pulling against the 6cyl ihs and the other brands.. have seen a few pull but always just seem to be a little behind... thanks

Have the pump set up to run all 8 cylinders,all the time.Find a M&W twin turbo setup.Just a couple thoughts.

thanks yeah know about setting up pump but i need to be pulling stock.. no turbo.. are rules are rated hp plus 15% is there any little tricks i can use to get to the front of the pack or does it just come down to that the 8cyl wont lug with the 6cyl. thanks

Years ago, out of field days, we had a 1468 with M&W turbo kit, one on each bank, pump fixed, looked mean, sounded meaner. We also had an old 1456, basically stock but a good runner. The 1456 spanked the 1468 hard every time. Hope this helps.
