Reverse Combustion Chamber for Diesel Heads?? September 29, 2011 01:28AM
Has anyone had any luck desigining a combustion chamber in the top of the piston to use with a flat Diesel head that has been converted to spark plugs?

The V12 engines from Rolls Royce, the Meteor, Merlin and Griffon, have this configuration as standard.
So maybe these can be something to use when you are looking into this.
It all depends on compression ratio and valve lift what is possible or not.
