4 gear in 666

looking to beef up 4 gear has any one double up this gear or were would be a good place to get one made thanks for any help |

do you want to make the gear stronger or or speed it up? most of the time the teeth break, is because its moving. we run lss & hss

Fourth gear would be better if it's wider and the teeth have a different degree of pitch. Give Atlas Tractor a call they can help you. Also have some sort of a lock to keep the gear in place. Bill- What rearend/trans are you using? |

Call Atlas. They wiil make you a top and bottom gear the same width. bsd- you run a 656 in a heavy super class? What engine are you using? |

I had Edgerton Gear make me a set a few years ago for my 686. Very good people to work with. |

Wow. And you are running a 656 rear/trans at 8000#? What have you done to make that last? |

Profab cage, we build our own gears and Terry Blackbourn had a couple good idea's. He ran his at 9000 years ago.
