IH DT 361 engine CI options??

Time to redo a 806 DT361 engine.. What is the most practical way to go larger CI. Stroke or BORE??? Simple would be better
This is running a 3000rpm class and does not have to have over 550 HP |

I know of a DT361 that pulls in our group, that has the 361 crank w/ 407 pistons. Makes 396 cubes. |

What is he using for rods being 361s and 407s are the same length? i wld bore ur 361 to 4.5 and use 429 or 573 pistons which makes 429CI with 361 crank or 441CI with a 407 crank |

The one I know of, I'm betting they're 361/407 rods.

If hes got 407 pistons and a 361 crank the pistons wldnt come up high enuff. he wld need a longer rod |

I had my 407 block decked to bring the compression back up when I used the 4 5/8" Case pistons, they were just slightly shorter than a big-pin 407 piston. |
