NTPA Hall of Famer passes November 05, 2011 02:15PM
Lloyd Luedtke of Allenton Wisconsin one of the founder members of WTPA and a long time NTPA board member passed away today after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was 84 years old. He was known for pulling his 8000 Ford in 7000, 9000, and 12000 super stock classes. Lloyd was also a pioneer in building one of the first pulling sleds in 1969. He was also responsible for many of the innovations that modern sleds have now.

Lloyd was an avid deer hunter and snowmobiler. He always enjoyed the friends he made throughout his pulling career.

Jake and I want to offer our condolences to the Luedtke family. Lloyd was a true legend and pioneer in the sport. I remember his Ford 8000 as being one of the strongest Supers in its day. It was always nice to see a blue one among the sea of red and green. From puller to sled builder to state and national representative Lloyd Luedtke did it all for the sport of truck and tractor pulling. He will be missed..
